IT Il progetto di ricerca, finanziato dalla Compagnia di San Paolo e realizzata in collaborazione con l’Università di Torino, il Dipartimento SAAST e il programma Marie Curie TOM, ha indagato il fenomeno migratorio dei rom a Torino e i rapporti tra questo gruppo e gli altri migranti non Rom con la stessa provenienza nazionale. La ricerca è stata svolta in due paesi, Italia e Romania, per poter condurre un’analisi comparata sulle forme di circolazione e sulle strategie di inserimento sul territorio che Rom e non Rom praticano nei paesi di provenienza e nel contesto migratorio torinese. EN The research project, funded by Compagnia di San Paolo, aimed at: 1. developing a comparative account between the migration towards Italy of the Romanian people and of Roma of Romanian origin; 2.   investigating the type of mobility and the transnational relationships of the two groups; 3. analysing the residential settlement patterns and the types of formal and informal economy of Roma Romanians with particular reference to the case of the city of Turin; 4. analysing the social relationships between the Roma Romanians and the other Romanian migrants in Italy, comparing them with the way such relationships occur in  Romania.
